Thank You. I don't believe I will be going with her, the trip is costing close to 2 grand just for her. I think, if they allow it, someone will record the bands performance for the parents who don't get to go. They will be in Virginia for the 4th of July next year. Not sure on the exact date for Carnegie yet.

:dancebun:  Yeah I am jumping for joy. My daughters trip is paid for. Now I just hope that it doesn't get canceled. Total cost over 2000 with insurance. So far the tour will include a dinner cruise on the Potomac river, a Major League baseball game, a visit and tour of the capital building, Statue of Liberty & Ellis Island, a tour of Arlington cemetery & Gettysburg Battlefield. They will be going to New York City, Washington DC, & Gettysburg. They will be gone for 9 days.

Yes, I did but that was about 35-40 years ago. LOL

When I went to NYC, on 2 occasions, we went to the World Trade Towers, the UN and quite a few other places including the Empire State Building, the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. Arlington Cemetery is huge for a cemetery!

Back then I was a kid but after I grew up I worked in NYC and used to travel there just for fun. It is only a 3 hour drive from Philly, where I used to live. My oldest daughter still lives in NYC.

Here are some of the places my daughter will get to visit. New York, Philadelphia, Washington DC, Virginia, Maryland. Her itinerary includes dinner at the Hard Rock in NY, Concert at Carnegie Hall, dinner at Jekyll & Hyde club, Zephyr Harbor Cruise, Times Square, Liberty Bell & Independence hall, Baltimore Orioles baseball game, Gettysburg, The Hall of Presidents, Battlefield guided tour, Arlington Cemetery to lay a wreath at the tomb of the unknown soldier. Performance at amphitheater. Performance at WWII Memorial in DC., Grants Tomb, Smithsonian Museums, Potomac river cruise, Fairfax Independence day parade, Fireworks, Fords Theater, Old town Alexandria, and more fireworks. What an awesome trip. I am so glad that she gets to go.
