11 May 2009 TP .mod File Quick Reference

Use this quick reference to quickly see what .mod file to use to install, upgrade, or uninstall TinyPortal. This will be divided into 3 sections: Installations, Upgrades, and Uninstalls. Use the appropriate section according to your needs.

Legend that this tutorial will be using:
"Install for:" = The SMF version that you are trying to install TP to.
"Upgrade for:" = The TP version that you are trying to upgrade TP to. "from" = The TP version that you will be upgrading from.
"Uninstall for:" = The SMF version that you will be using while uninstalling TP.
".mod file:" = The TP .mod file that is needed to manually install TP, if supported.

Install for: SMF 1.0.5 through 1.0.99.
.mod file: None. SMF versions 1.0.x are no longer supported by TinyPortal. Please, upgrade your forums to SMF 1.1.x to use TP 1.x.

Install for: SMF 1.1 and 1.1.1 through 1.1.99.
.mod file: tinyportal1075.mod.


Upgrade for: TP 0.96, 0.97, 0.98, 0.981, 0.982, 0.983.
Please un-install TinyPortal 0.6-0.9.x before installing the new TinyPortal 1.0. You will NOT loose any data, and everything will work as before. After un-installing(removing the modifications to SMF files only) you can then re-install TP v1.0 and it will pick and use the old data. Note that TP no longer need to use custom TP themes, it will use SMF themes just fine..but you WILL need to add the extra "forum" button/tab to the theme.

Upgrade for: TP 1.0.5-1.0.99.
TinyPortal will no longer support SMF 1.0x versions, as it now depends on many features not present in SMF 1.0.x. We urge you to upgrade your forum to v1.1 if you like to install v1.0 of TP.

Upgrade for: TP 1.1, 1.1.1-1.1.99 from TP 1.00, 1.01.
.mod file: tinyportal1010-1075.mod.

Upgrade for: TP 1.1, 1.1.1-1.1.99 from TP 1.02.
.mod file: tinyportal1020-1075.mod.

Upgrade for: TP 1.1, 1.1.1-1.1.99 from TP 1.049, 1.050, 1.051, 1.052, 1.053, 1.054, 1.0.55, 1.0.56.
.mod file: tinyportal1050-1075.mod.

Upgrade for: TP 1.1, 1.1.1-1.1.99 from TP 1.02.
.mod file: tinyportal1020-1075.mod.

Upgrade for: TP 1.1, 1.1.1-1.1.99 from TP 1.0.57,1.058, 1.059, 1.060, 1.061, 1.070, 1.071, 1.072, 1.073, 1.074.
.mod file: tinyportal1056-1075.mod.



Uninstall for: SMF 1.1 RC3, 1.1, and 1.1.1 through 1.1.99.
.mod file: tinyportal1075.mod.

Use tinyportal1075.mod as a guide to remove the code that was installed of adding it.
