You can download them HERE Now that you have a pack, what you want to do is unzip the smiley pack and upload it using a FTP program like FileZilla, to the "Smileys" folder. Now that you have them uploaded to the "Smileys" folder you go into the Admin Console and navigate to 'Smileys and Message Icons' When you get into the Smiley options Click on the "Smiley Sets" tab Now click on "New Smiley Set" , in this screen you can Name the smileys, choose which smileys to install, make these smileys the default, or import some of the smileys to the default. Now you have your smileys recognized by SMF, but you still have to let SMF know what button combinations will make each smiley work. So choose the new set you just installed, and go through each filename, give each one a code for instance That is about all there is to it, just remember you will have to define each and every smiley If you just have a few smileys that you want to add to your smiley set you can just add a single smiley. Accomplish this all you need to do is click on 'Smileys and Message Icons' in the Admin Console and click the "Add Smiley" Tab. There you can upload a single smiley, give it a unique code, and give it a description (This shows up when a user hovers over the smiley) This tutorial is courtesy of Lord Anubis. |
